Managing your voicemails, setting your phone's ring tone and call forwarding

The following tutorial will allow you to manage your voicemails, change your phone's ring tone, as well as configure call forwarding through a web-based application called 3Com NBX NetSet.


A. Managing your voicemails

1. Go to http://10.0.1.10 to access the 3Com NBX NetSet application using Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or any web browser.
2. Click the "USER" button on the lower right corner of the page.
3. The application will ask for your user name (your 4-digit extension number) and password. Then click OK button.
4. Assuming that user name and password are matched, the resulting page will display a list of all of your voicemails, including the sender's name, date, time and duration of the voicemail.
5. To play a voicemail, click the "Play" link that corresponds to the voicemail you want to hear.
6. To delete a voicemail, tick the check box that corresponds to the voicemail you want to delete, and then click the "Remove selected" button below the voicemail list.

B. Changing the ring tone of your phone

1. Repeat steps 1 to 4 in the above procedure.
2. On the left side menu, click "Telephone Programming."
3. Select the Ring Tone Number that you want for your phone.
4. Click the "Apply" button below the Ring Tone list.

C. Setting your phone's call forwarding feature

1. Repeat steps 1 to 4 in the above procedure.
2. On the left side menu, click "Call Forwarding."
3. You can define the number of rings before a call to your extension is being forwarded. Minimum number of rings is 2, while 25 is the maximum. The default is 4 rings.
4. Choose your preferred call forwarding method:
    a. Forward to a voicemail box for your extension (default)
    b. Forward to a particular phone number
    c. Automated attendant
    d. No call forwarding (disable call forwarding feature)
5. Click the "Apply" button to save changes.
